Pedal for Health
Stretching our limits 2021 pairs the cycling challenge of upto 400 Kilometres with the charitable purpose of raising funds to support People with Disabilities access better health care and realize their potential. This year our aim is to raise Kes. 4, 000, 000 that will go into meeting medical, physical wellness, accessibility and mobility needs of people with disabilities as supported by L’Arche Kenya.
The Objectives for 2021
The funds raised will go towards:
• Medication: Targets 32 adults with intellectual disabilities and 50 children with different forms of disabilities who need specialized medical attention.
• Accessibility and Mobility: Fitting L’Arche Kenya vehicles with alighting and boarding ramps and providing disability inclusive social amenities among other disability inclusive adjustments.
• Equipping therapy fitness centre: In order to enhance developmental milestones amongst people with disabilities, physical therapy is necessary for both children and adults.
How to participate
Donate Kes. 100 for every 1KM
Physically participate in the cycling exercise and invite your friends to donate Kes. 100 for every 1KM you cover.
Mobilize your friends and family to donate to support the teams cover their targeted KM and raise their targeted funds
Share widely on the social media to invite as many friends to support.
Invite L’Arche Kenya to come and launch the campaign in your community/church/media house and ask people to donate.
